Deborah Ann Roberts, an American television journalist for the ABC News division of the ABC broadcast television network, was born on September 20, 1960. Roberts started her career in 1982 at Columbus, Georgia’s local television station WTVM. Later, she moved on to work at Knoxville, Tennessee’s WBIR.
She worked as the bureau chief, a NASA field reporter, and the weekend news co-anchor at Orlando, Florida’s WFTV from 1987 until 1990. She worked as a general-assignment reporter for NBC News before becoming a journalist for the newsmagazine program Dateline NBC.

On January 1st, 1994, Roker proposed to Roberts in the Grand Canyon. He told PEOPLE, “I thought, what a great place. On the Grand Canyon’s rim. One of us won’t return if she responds “No.”

The television pair exchanged vows at St. Thomas Church in New York City in 1995.

The television celebrities are parents to two kids: son Nick, who was born in 2002, and daughter Leila, who was born in 1998.
